The Town of Middleborough is becoming a "Complete Streets" community, which will allow the Town to receive state funding to build new sidewalks, improve intersections, add bicycle lanes or shared use pavement markings, construct bus shelters, add street lighting and signage, and many other items. With technical assistance funding from the MassDOT Complete Streets Funding Program, SRPEDD is helping the town develop a Complete Streets Prioritization Plan (list of projects) that will be used to apply for funding from MassDOT to begin the construction of projects on the plan.
A key part of the project is getting feedback from the community! To that end, SRPEDD has set up a project webpage (//www.srpedd.org/Middleborough-Complete-Streets) that explains the program and provides an interactive map that allows residents, business owners, town employees, and others to leave comments on areas that need improvement.
Providing input is quick and easy!
Simply follow the website link to find the interactive map, either enter your email address or click the link to "Continue as Guest (no email necessary)", zoom into an area of interest and leave a comment by clicking on "Click Here to Add Points". You can then leave a description of your concern.
Help Middleborough understand what matters to you!
